We are excited to announce our upcoming retreat for the Spring Wood Element With Qigong, Yoga, Mediation, Art, and Sound Healing.

Qigong, yoga and Sound healing are ancient practices that can be beneficial for balancing the Spring Wood element within the body and mind. The Wood element in traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda represents growth, renewal, flexibility, and harmonious energy flow.

Qigong forms focus on cultivating vital energy or Qi through gentle movements, breath work, and meditation. Specific Qigong practise like the "Five Elements Qigong" or "Tree Qigong" directly relate to the Wood element. These exercises promote flexibility, stimulate liver and gallbladder meridians, and enhance overall energy flow, supporting the body's natural rejuvenation and growth.

In yoga, the Spring Wood element is associated with the energy of the spine and the liver. Poses like twists, backbends, and inversions help to activate and energise the spine, promoting flexibility, strength, and healthy energy flow. Practices that focus on detoxification, such as twists, can also support the liver's function. Incorporating breathing techniques like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) can balance and harmonize the Wood element.

Sound healing sessions with singing bowls and drumming will be focussing on key frequencies to harmonise and energise the liver and Gall Bladder meridians. The soothing vibrations can promote relaxation, release energetic blockages, and restore the flow of Qi, supporting the balance of the Wood element and stimulate healing.

Qigong, yoga and sound healing encourage mindfulness, deep breathing, and a connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Regular practice of these disciplines can help restore harmony and balance to the Wood element, fostering personal growth, resilience, and a sense of renewal in the Spring season.

Our menu for the day will include nourishing foods to balancing the Spring Wood element. With an emphasise fresh, seasonal, vibrant leafy green foods, which resonate with the Wood element supporting liver and other important foods to aid detoxification and aid digestion.

Synergistically these healing practises will support you enhance self-healing and promote overall well-being during the Spring season.
